So, at the behest of some people, I thought I’d go ahead and snap a couple pictures of the world while I was building this evening. Now, keep in mind that I only took a couple pictures, mainly of areas I was presently working on, and when the map nears completion I plan to do a photo-tour of what it all looks like.
That said, here are some images (be sure to click on them for the full sizes!):
In the above image, in the far left you can barely make out part of the Town of Darunia, which is at a lower elevation than where I was standing for this picture. In the distance, you can see Maze Island (there is a pathway of mazes that leads to a treasure chest and eventually the Maze Palace, which you can also see in the distance).
This image was taken in the desert-like area south of the Great Palace and near the Valley of Death. This is the Hidden Temple, which I was working on when I took this picture. While not invisible (as in Zelda 2), the temple is very well-hidden and easy to miss due to its very low elevation.
Here, I am standing on top of the mountain upon which the Great Palace is located. I took this image at night, because I felt it gave it a creepier view! Also, during the day, due to its high elevation, clouds and fog seem to surround it.
Finally, here is the map of the world as it currently stands. Note the new areas added to it since my last update. However, there is no interior for the Great Palace or the Hidden Palace just yet, but I wanted to build their exteriors so as to get a relative sense of where they are.
So…What do you think? Not too bad, eh?
